"Smile whenever you can. Laugh and giggle as much as possible. And, give lots of hugs."
The Weinberg Early Learning Center (the WELC), now celebrating its 20th anniversary, is a source of lifelong Temple connections and the house of dreams for our Temple’s future. The WELC is also an engine that drives The Temple’s growth in membership. The WELC’s overwhelming popularity has led us to a crossroads: the preschool is now at full capacity, with a long waitlist that continues to grow.
Through the Dream — Build — Inspire campaign, we’ll gain the ability to grow annual enrollment at the WELC from 120 to 175 students, an increase of almost 50%. The one-story Zale building will be razed, and the three-story addition to the Rosenberg building constructed in its place. This addition will create one contiguous Early Learning Center per across the first two floors — as opposed to two separate buildings — increasing efficiencies for our staff and enhancing the safety and security of our children.
Growth in Temple membership since the founding of the WELC in 2024, to nearly 1,800 familes and 4,500 members.
